With recent advancements in technology, recording and audio production has become an inexpensive and popular way for today’s artists to make music.Audio tech companies are developing and marketing products for everyday consumers. Basic to professional sounding music can be made with as little as your smartphone.
This is an entry level course that caters to those unfamiliar with or having some experience recording or using music technology. In this program, you will learn how to use a computer-based program allowing you to make basic recordings of your music whether it be piano, drums, singing, you name it.
Students will learn how to use their computer and a USB microphone to record a sound source (vocals, instruments, etc.) and how to get the best quality sound out of it. Other topics will be introduced in the course such as music production and available resources and tools for making recordings and producing music via computer or recording capable device.
